Tips for Vision Boards
You can purchase 3 tri-folds on amazon right now (may 4, 2025) for $6.99 these are great because you can easily section your board, and it will stand up if you would like to use it as a meditation tool.

I like to start by writing down the names of the sections I would like to focus on “faith” “realtionships” “self care” might be some areas you want to focus attention into. This might look different depending on your current goals.

Use a straight edge ruler and an xacto knife tool to make straight cuts! I used to be left handed, so I learned to use left handed scissors. Due to teaching art, I have migrated to right handedness out of necessity for my students. The trick I learned to make cutting easier for myself and my students and to feel better about the professionalism of my work, xacto knives! These are only recommended to my adult clients. We use plastic scissors and scrapbooking scissors in family sessions.
Use glue tape! it is affordable, mess free, and doesn’t require dry time! Just last week one of my mom friends had a bit of a nightmare on her hands when her daughters school project got stuck to itself! We like to make coping skills stream lined, and easy so they stay stress free. Unless you like messy…. then go for it!
You may be familiar with Magazine clippings, but have you considered other supplies? I love to purchase sets of 200+ stickers when they go on sale for $5. Sometimes seeing the words of written encouragement can really brighten your day. There are also clip art and ephemera books you can get if you want to splurge or express your unique style. .

Look at your vision board daily, consider each day what 3 steps you can take toward your vision for your life. How can you live today as if it is already a reality?

I’m Brittney

I write from the crossroads of faith and healing, where lived experience became both my classroom and my calling. With a background in spiritual, mental, and physical health earned in the midst of real-life storms, I share what I have learned through grief, grassroots charity work, and a deeply personal walk with God. This blog is my offering, a space where raw honesty meets steady hope, and where the tools that helped rebuild me are passed forward to anyone who might need them.
